Our crude oil segment consists of three FERC-regulated pipelines — Pony Express, Powder River Express, and Iron Horse as well as nine terminals. Together, they can transport about 700,000 Bbl/d and store more than 8.3 MMbbl.
Pony Express is approximately 900 miles of infrastructure extending from Wyoming and Southeast Colorado to the U.S. hub in Cushing, Oklahoma, connecting with three refineries along the way.
Tallgrass' facilities along the Pony Express route are used as a testing ground for an initiative to deploy solar power where it can benefit operations. At the Grasslands Terminal, the solar installation delivers 96% of our administrative energy consumption demand. Across our operating sites, we continue to evaluate areas for new solar and battery installations.
